Listening Therapies
Therapeutic Listening
Therapeutic Listening® (TL) is an auditory intervention that uses the organized sound patterns inherent in music to impact all levels of the nervous system. The emphasis of TL is on blending sound intervention strategies with vestibulo-proprioceptive, core development, and breath activities so as to sustain grounding and centering of the body and mind in space and time. The music on each TL listening selection is electronically altered to impact sensory modulation, attention, behavior, postural organization, and speech and language difficulties.
Each TL program is tailored to the unique needs of the individual child. TL sessions can be completed at home, 30 minutes per session, twice daily, up to seven days per week. We offer TL as an affordable rental program to current therapy patients.
Integrated Listening Systems
Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) is a multi-sensory program which integrates auditory input and movement activities to strengthen a child’s neurological processing and improve attention, learning, and behavior.
ILS programs are 40 to 75 sessions long, 60 minutes per session, once daily, up to five days per week. ILS is available to our current therapy patients for a monthly rental fee of $225, which is not billable to insurance.
